Nice to meet you

ABOUT ME

I’m Serpil Vural, a medical doctor specialized in internal medicine, trained in Switzerland. I’ve worked in various hospital settings, including internal medicine, emergency care, intensive care, geriatrics, and pediatrics. While I’ve completed my clinical training, my current focus lies in a field that still receives too little attention: pre- and postpartum care for mothers.

As a mother myself, I know how deeply pregnancy and the postpartum period shape a woman’s wellbeing — physically, mentally, and socially. Yet, many women experience this life stage without enough support. Prenatal care often centers on the baby’s health, while maternal needs are sidelined. After birth, care drops off dramatically after the standard 6-week check-up, leaving mothers with ongoing issues, since healing is not finished after 6 weeks.
This gap affects not only women but also the healthcare professionals who want to provide better, more comprehensive care.

My mission is to bridge this divide — to offer evidence-based knowledge, compassionate support, and practical tools for navigating maternal health from pregnancy through postpartum. I aim to empower women with information about their bodies and choices, while also supporting healthcare professionals with education and improved care models

By combining my clinical background with my personal experience, I take a holistic approach to maternal health, focusing on the full spectrum of physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. My goal is to create a space where mothers feel truly supported — and where the medical system becomes more responsive to their needs across the entire journey of motherhood.
